About
Dr. Priya Bhat-Patel serves as a Council Member in the City of Carlsbad where she grew up and currently lives with her husband, baby boy, and dog. A daughter of Indian immigrants, Priya is the first Indian American to be elected to the City Council in the County of San Diego and the youngest person ever to be elected to the Carlsbad City Council.
Priorities
Priya is committed to ensuring that the people of Carlsbad are best served by their city government. Priya has set several priorities that she believes most impact the residents of Carlsbad. If re-elected Priya will continue to ensure transparency, strong public health programs, sustainability, and improve the quality of life for all Carlsbad residents.
