San Diego County Division President
The League of California Cities’ main goals are to defend and expand local control, advocate for cities' interests, and provide education and training programs for city officials. The League achieves these goals through various means, including advocacy efforts in the Legislature, ballot initiatives, legal actions, and strategic outreach to inform and educate the public, policymakers, and opinion leaders. Additionally, they offer educational programs to keep city officials informed about new developments in their field and provide a platform for exchanging solutions to common challenges faced by cities in California.

Clean Energy Alliance JPA
Board Member
The Clean Energy Alliance (CEA) is a public entity formed by the cities of Carlsbad, Del Mar, Solana Beach, Escondido, San Marcos, Oceanside, and Vista. Its main goal is to operate a Community Choice Energy program that provides alternative energy resources to communities. As a locally controlled entity, CEA is supported by ratepayers and operates independently from its member agencies. The revenue generated from the program will be reinvested in local energy infrastructure and energy efficiency programs for customers. CEA aims to promote clean energy adoption and reduce reliance on traditional energy sources.
